Course Overview
Renowned golf course architect Tom Doak created a legendary design with his reversible course, The Loop. Play alternates daily between the Red and Black routings giving golfers a totally different experience despite using the same 18 greens and fairways (Red on even calendar days and Black on odd). The Old Course at St Andrews was originally played in two directions but memorable holes such as the Road Hole (No. 17) and the par-3 11th were just not the same in the opposite direction and the alternate routing was pushed into extinction based on popular demand. The Loop is an English Heathland-style course with fast and firm fescue fairway and no rough or water. Walking the course is the best way to appreciate the architecture and make sure to play it both ways to soak in the genius of the design.
