Course Overview

After years of gleaning knowledge from the world’s finest golf course architects and an extended stay in Scotland and Ireland studying the game’s greatest courses like Lahinch, Ballybunion and Royal County Down, Rick Smith decided to get into the business of building golf courses. One year after the Fazio “Premier” opened at Treetops, the Rick Smith “Signature” opened. Very little land was altered to build Rick’s first 18 holes as the glacial hills of Otsego County gave him exactly what he needed to create the resort’s most popular golf course. This spectacular design defends par extremely well despite its shortish 6,653-yard length. Be sure to get a little green-reading advice prior to teeing it up and make sure to take some time and enjoy the views!
